virtualsolutions Inc. (VSI) agrees that patient and client confidentiality are of utmost importance. VSI employees and subcontractors conform to HIPAA regulations by adhering to the following practices:
- VSI’s vcapture products break forms into secure ‘snippets’ so that documents are never transmitted in context.
- Snippets are sent in scrambled batches with a random 64-bit identifier over a secure SSL to our remote subcontractor workforce.
- Sensitive fields like SSN can be securely split into two snippets for added protection.
- No single subcontractor can see multiple parts of a securely split field or key all fields from a single form.
- All communication is encrypted and password protected.
